Stap binnen bij Fotograaf Zwarthoed en u bent meteen in de juiste stemming. Mensen komen en gaan, het is er gezellig druk. In de stijlvolle ontvangstruimte ziet u foto’s van de mensen die u voorgingen. Daar zitten ook beroemdheden tussen. Ook ziet u de Volendamse kostuums hangen en de Volendamse accessoires waar ze bekend om staan. Ze hebben altijd een schoon en fris Volendams kostuum in uw maat klaarliggen.
Om u om te kleden kunt u gebruik maken van comfortabele pasruimtes, waarbij u op deskundige wijze wordt geadviseerd over de juiste manier om zo’n authentiek kostuum te dragen. Voor ons is het Volendams kostuum pas compleet als alles klopt. Ook de accessoires.
Als u vervolgens onze ruime fotostudio betreedt -de grootste van Volendam- dan is het eerste dat u opvalt de prachtige decors waarin u zich kunt laten fotograferen. Wat heeft uw voorkeur? De antieke schouw of het typische Volendamse geveltje? Of kiest u voor het prachtige havengezicht? Maar het mag er allemaal nog zo traditioneel uitzien bij Foto Zwarthoed, de tijd heeft er niet stilgestaan. Want deze vakmensen beschikken over de modernste digitale apparatuur, waarmee uw foto razendsnel en in een perfecte kwaliteit wordt afgedrukt. Ze hebben een 'niet-goed-geld-terug' garantie. Hoewel ze die eigenlijk nooit nodig hebben.
Als u over de dijk wandelt, kijk dan uit naar de rode gevel... deze kunt u niet missen!

Very disappointing experience, overpriced and rude staff
I had a very negative experience at this photo salon. First of all, the prices here are extremely high compared to other photo shops literally next door – I strongly recommend checking those out before committing here. The worst part is that you’re not even allowed to choose your own photo. The staff takes several shots but then they pick the one they think is best, without showing you any options. I wasn’t happy with the photo they printed and asked if I could at least see the other ones to choose a better one – but they completely refused. No chance to see or select anything. While I was waiting for another print, I overheard the staff speaking in Dutch and sarcastically mocking me for wanting to change the photo. It was extremely unprofessional and frankly disgusting behavior. I felt disrespected and embarrassed. All in all, this place is overpriced, unaccommodating, and rude. I regret going here and hope others can avoid the same treatment. There are much friendlier and cheaper alternatives right nearby.
